Residency

Our residency offers a unique experience in the northern part of Latvia. “Vidusmeži’’ workshop is located in Mazsalaca city so while you create your piece of art there is lots of inspiration to find in the local nature.

Prices for one person:

• 300 EUR a week

• 800 EUR a month

  / fully equipped workshop, assistance and consultations during your work, trips to caves, hikes to old clay pits and gravel quarries, raw clay explorations, all materials are included.

Additional payments and other opportunities:

• firing expenses (starting from 2 EUR a piece)

• accommodations at dreamy Līči school, about 12 km ride from the workshop (per day - 15 EUR a room, 5 EUR for tent)

• boat trip from the Vidusmeži workshop to Līči school (16 km / 4-6 hour ride) 30 EUR per boat (2-3 persons)

• There is a beautiful and wild nature trail leading from Līči school back to Mazsalaca where the workshop is located, so you can spend your days hiking through the magical forests of Dauģēni nature trail and Skaņaiskalns nature park (18 km / 6 hour hike) entrance is free of charge.

Residency is available from May to September.
